Our retreat day will be held in Satori wellness centre at infinity swim academy. 9:45 - 10:00am Arrive Satori wellness centre 10:00 - 10:30am Mindful movement & Pranayama 10:30 - 12:30pm Yin yoga 12:30 - 1:30pm Mindful Eating 1:30 - 2:30pm Restorative Yoga 2:30 - 3:00pm Yoga Nidra Sitting still can often can be a challenge if we spend most of our time on the go. Often the mind resists becoming still, so Mindful movement is a beautiful way to slow down a busy mind and active body. There are many forms of pranayama, for this retreat we will explore balancing the right and left hemispheres of the brain and tapping into the parasympathetic nervous system through breath work. Our yin yoga sequence will help to dissolve the physical symptoms of stress in the body. During lunch we will explore Mindful eating, the pace at which we eat, the thoughts we think while eating and how this affects our nervous and digestive systems. Lunch will be a bring and share lunch, meaning everyone brings something along that can be shared among the group. I will provide tea, coffee and treats! After lunch a restorative yoga practice focusing on just 5-6 poses with 10 minute holds, all the whilst supported by props such as bolsters, blocks and blankets allowing the body to relax deeply. We finish the day with a Yoga nidra. Yoga Nidra (also known as Yogic Sleep) is a powerful relaxation and ancient technique. While the practitioner rests comfortably in savasana (corpse pose), this systematic guided meditation takes you through the pancha maya kosha (five layers of self), leaving you with a sense of wholeness. It is believed that 30 minutes of yoga nidra is the equivalent of 3 hours sleep. The cost of this retreat is €60/£55 |
